Oconee Station State Historic Site
Previously a military compound and trading post, Oconee Station Historic Site now serves as an upcountry South Carolina historic tourist attraction. Located just outside of Greenville, the former outpost has stood the test of time – the Oconee Station and William Richards House both still stand today after being built in the late 18th century.
Guests of Oconee Station will want to take the scenic beauty as well. The surrounding area is home to a variety of outdoor enthusiasts' ideal spots – the Sumter National Forest, the Station Cove Falls, and fishing pond are all located along the scenic 1.5 mile walking trail leading away from the Oconee Station.
